Please note that this pattern has not been tested. If you choose to make one and you find an error, please let me know and I will make the changes and update the pattern

Any type of yarn in Christmas colors will work. I used two colors of I Love This Yarn from my stash.
Hook Size US H
Scissors
3” metal ring (I found mine from Hobby Lobby in the purse making section)
Holiday buttons
Ribbon
Small ornament (I purchased a mini set from Hobby Lobby)
Large needle for weaving in the ends

Gauge:  Not important for this project. Finished ornament measures approximately 4 to 5” in diameter.

Abbreviations:
ch = Chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
() = number of stitches

Special Stitches:
Picot – ch3, sl st in the first chain, sc to the next st

Pattern:
Round 1: Using green, attach to the metal ring, ch 1 and sc 56 around the ring, sl st to the first sc

Round 2: Ch2, dc in each st around, sl st to the top of the ch2, fasten off

Round 3: Attach white using a slip knot, ch1, *sc in the next st, ch3, sl st in the first ch, sc in the next st, repeat from *, sl st to the first ch1.

Do not fasten off.
Ch 15 and sl st to the first ch. This will make the loop for hanging.

Weave in the ends.
This is where you can use your own creativity. I chose to add snowflake buttons, a bow, and a mini ornament to my wreath.

This Is My Hope for Cooler Days Hat

This Is My Hope for Cooler Days Hat
By
It’s Just A Yarn Thing

Materials:
Lion Brand ZZ Twist in Coral 246yds. I used approximately 162 yds.
Hook Size US I
Scissors
Stitch marker if desired
Large needle for weaving in the ends
PomPom

Gauge:  7 rows of sc = 2”

Abbreviations:
blo = back loop only
ch = Chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet

Special Instructions:
Ch1 the beginning of the rows does not count as a stitch.

Pattern:
Band of the hat (after the beginning chain, each row will have 10 stitches)
Chain 11, sc in blo of the second chain from the hook, continue across, ch1, turn. Continue in this manner until the length of the band is 16” (I did 64 rows). If you need to adjust the size simply decrease or increase the number of rows. Once the desired length is reached, do not fasten off.
Ch1, turn

Body of hat:
Row1: sc in the next stitch, dc in the next. Continue this pattern across making sure to end this row with a dc.
Row2: ch 1, turn, dc in the next stitch, sc in the next. Continue this pattern across making sure to end this row with a sc.
Continue repeating row 1 and row 2 until the hat measures 8 1/2”. My hat had 20 rows but again, you can adjust this to fit your size. Just remember to alternate row 1 and row 2 until you reach your desired size.
Do not fasten off.
Measure about 20” of yarn from the last stitch and cut.
Fasten off.
Use the long tail to sew the sides of the hat together making sure to match up the rows and bottom band.
Weave in the ends.
Turn the hat to the wrong side. Using the same yarn from the main skein, sew a running stitch around the top of the hat. Pull ends together and tie off. Turn the hat back to the right side. Weave in the ends.
I chose to make a furry pompom for this but any pompom you use will look amazing.

These great friends were kind enough to test this hat. Check out their Facebook pages and give them some love!
