Crochet Kitchen Towel Holder

Kitchen Towel Holder By It’s Just A Yarn Thing

Materials:
Cotton yarn, I used I Love This Cotton
Hook Size US G
Large button
3” metal ring (I found mine at Hobby Lobby)
Scissors
Stitch marker if desired
Large needle for weaving in the ends
Size:  An average kitchen towel will fit through the ring.
Gauge is not important for this project however, you may need to adjust the top of the holder to fit the handle you choose to hang it from. This is easily done by increasing the number of rows after row11.

Abbreviations:
 () = Indicates the number of stitches for that round
 beg = Beginning
 ch = Chain
 hdc = Half double crochet
 rep = Repeat
 rnd = Round
 sc = single crochet
 2sctog = single crochet 2 sts together
 sk st = Skip stitch
 sl st = Slip stitch
 st(s) = Stitch(es)

Pattern:

Edging for the Top
Locate the stitch between the ring and the top of the holder. Fasten on using either a new accent color or the same color used throughout the project.
Sc up one side of the top making sure to place your sts evenly. You will sc 3 in each corner before sc down the other side of the top, stopping where the top connects to the ring.
Do not fasten off.

Edging for the Ring
Sc in the first st of the ring, *ch3, sc in the next 2 sts*, rep from* ending the ring with a sc.
Fasten off and weave in the ends
Attach the button at the top of the ring. Weave in the ends.
